Six Bodies found in AirAsia Search

'Six bodies' found in AirAsia search
Updated 3 minutes ago

The BBC's Alice Budisatrijo said there was no confirmation of the objects yet
At least six bodies have been found and at least three recovered in the search for missing AirAsia Flight QZ8501, Indonesian officials and media say.

The bodies were spotted along with debris floating in the Java Sea off the Indonesian part of Borneo, in one of the search zones for the plane.

One official said the debris was 95% likely to be from the missing aircraft.

The Airbus A320-200, carrying 162 people from Surabaya in Indonesia to Singapore, disappeared on Sunday.

The debris is said to be different to other objects spotted during the search

The debris is said to be different to other objects spotted during the search
The search operation is now in its third day, with the area widened to cover 13 zones over land and sea.

During a news conference by the head of the operation, shown live on Indonesian TV, pictures of the debris were shown including a body floating on the water.

Relatives of passengers on the plane watching the pictures were visibly shocked.

Later, reports from officials and media in Pangkalan Bun, a nearby town in Central Kalimantan province, said six bodies had been found and at least three recovered.

AFP news agency later quoted the navy as saying that as many as 40 had been retrieved by one warship, saying the rescuers were "very busy now".

AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes tweeted to the families: "My heart is filled with sadness for all the families involved in QZ 8501. On behalf of AirAsia my condolences."

Search operation head Bambang Soelistyo said he was 95% certain the objects shown were from the plane, adding that a shadow was spotted under water which appeared to be in the shape of a plane.

All resources were now being sent to the area where the debris was found, and all objects or bodies found would be taken to Pangkalan Bun, he said.

Mr Soelistyo added that ships with more sophisticated technology were being deployed to check whether larger parts of the plane were submerged beneath the debris.

Indonesian civil aviation chief Djoko Murjatmodjo, quoted by AFP news agency, said "significant things" such as a passenger door and cargo door had been found.

He added that the objects had been found 160km (100 miles) south-west of Pangkalan Bun.

At least 30 ships, 15 aircraft and seven helicopters joined the operation when it resumed at 06:00 local time on Tuesday (23:00 GMT Monday).

Search and rescue operations are now in their third day

Family and friends of those on board the plane are gathered and awaiting news at Surabaya airport
The operation, led by Indonesia, includes assistance from Malaysia, Singapore and Australia, with other offers of help from South Korea, Thailand, China and France. The US destroyer USS Sampson is on its way to the zone.

Communication lost

Earlier, Indonesian officials said they were investigating reports of smoke seen rising from an island close to Belitung island, one of the focal points of the search, though experts cautioned it could be unrelated to the missing plane.

On board the plane were 137 adult passengers, 17 children and one infant, along with two pilots and five crew.

Most were Indonesian but the passengers included one UK national, a Malaysian, a Singaporean and three South Koreans.

The plane left Surabaya at 05:35 Jakarta time on Sunday and had been due to arrive in Singapore two hours later.

Safety officials say the captain had asked for permission to take the plane higher but, by the time permission was granted, communication with the plane was lost.

It was officially declared missing at 07:55.

AirAsia previously had an excellent safety record and there were no fatal accidents involving its aircraft.

DENCIA BLASTS NAFDAC DG

"You're A Useless Hypocrite!"
Dencia Blasts NAFDAC Boss
For Threatening To Arrest Her
Over Whitenicious

Onnaedo Okafor | 11:31 | 08.08.2014

In a fresh tirade, Dencia puts the NAFDAC DG
on blast over her controversial Whitenicous
cream

If there's anything we've come to know about
Cameroonian singer, Dencia its that she's not
one who ever backs down from a fight nor does
she tire of saying exactly what's on her mind.
She proved this again today as she had some
very heated words for NAFDAC Director-General,
Paul Orhii. The tirade was supposedly sparked by
a comment earlier credited to the NAFDAC DG
where he had threatened to arrest Dencia over
her Whitenicious cream. The DG had been
allegedly quoted as saying at the Nigerian
Entertainment Industry Health Insurance
Convention which held on July 22nd in Lagos:
“There is this Cameroonian singer that has been
going around with a cream. If I get her, she’ll be
arrested”
Although Dencia had already addressed the
issue » , it would appear that something ticked
off the "Super Girl" singer again as she took to
Instagram to put Orhii on blast calling him a
hypocrite for seemingly endorsing Fair and White
which, according to her does essentially the
same thing as Whitenicious, while disparaging
her product ad even threatening to arrest her.

Read what she wrote above and tell us, was
Dencia right to address the DG in such a
manner?

Ebola virus(who) fights it and seeks cooperation

W.H.O. Declares Ebola
in West Africa a Health
Emergency
By ALAN COWELL
AUGUST 8, 2014
LONDON — Facing the worst known
outbreak of the Ebola virus, with
almost 1,000 fatalities in West Africa,
the World Health Organization
declared an international public
health emergency on Friday,
demanding an “extraordinary”
response — only the third such
declaration of its kind since
regulations permitting such alarms
were adopted in 2007.
The organization stopped short of
saying there should be general
international travel or trade bans, but
acknowledged that the outbreak,
already in its sixth month, was far
from being contained.
One major international medical
organization, Doctors Without
Borders, responded to the statement
with a renewed call for a “massive
deployment” of health specialists to
the stricken countries. “Lives are
being lost because the response is too
slow,” it said.
Margaret Chan, the World Health
Organization's director general, told a
news conference at the body's Geneva
headquarters: “This is the largest,
most severe, most complex outbreak in
the nearly four-decade history of the
disease.”
“I am declaring the current outbreak
of the Ebola virus disease a public
health emergency of international
concern,” she added. “Countries
affected to date simply don’t have the
capacity to manage an outbreak on
this scale on their own.”
Dr. Keiji Fukuda, the W.H.O.'s head of
health security, said that “things will
get worse for a while,” and, “we are
fully prepared for addressing this for
some months.”
The W.H.O. urged all states where the
disease is spreading to declare a state
of emergency, to screen all people
leaving at international airports,
seaports and land crossings, and to
prevent travel by anyone suspected of
having the Ebola virus. The move is
aimed at containing the disease. But
the organization did not recommend a
ban on travel to or from places with
outbreaks because of the low risk of
infection. “We don’t believe a general
ban on that kind of travel makes any
kind of sense at all,” Dr. Fukuda said.
The declaration was apparently
intended to display a more aggressive
stance by the health organization. In
the past, it has often bent to pressure
from member states demanding that
there be no consequences even as
epidemics have raged inside their
borders and sometimes slipped over
them.
But health specialists remain critical
of the international response.
“Declaring Ebola an international
public health emergency shows how
seriously W.H.O. is taking the current
outbreak; but statements won’t save
lives,” said Bart Janssens, the director
of operations at Doctors Without
Borders, which says it has hundreds of
specialists in the field in West Africa.
“Countries possessing necessary
capacities must immediately dispatch
available infectious disease experts
and disaster relief assets to the
region,” he said in a statement. “It is
clear the epidemic will not be
contained without a massive
deployment on the ground from these
states.”
According to figures released by the
W.H.O. this week, the virus has
claimed 932 lives since March. Most of
the cases are in Guinea, Liberia and
Sierra Leone, but nine cases have also
been reported in Nigeria, where one
person died after traveling there from
Liberia.
The total number of confirmed,
probable and suspected cases,
including the fatalities, was 1,711.
“A coordinated international response
is deemed essential to stop and
reverse the international spread of
Ebola,” the W.H.O. said in a
statement after a two-day meeting of
its emergency committee on the
outbreak.
The statement called the spread of the
disease an “extraordinary event,”
describing the potential consequences
as “particularly serious.” There is no
licensed protocol of treatment or
vaccine to halt the disease.
The W.H.O. listed a series of
worrisome factors in its spread,
including “the virulence of the virus,
the intensive community and health
facility transmission patterns, and the
weak health systems in the currently
affected and most at-risk countries.”
The W.H.O. made similar emergency
declarations to counter swine flu in
2009 and polio in May. But public
health experts say the declaration on
polio has not reversed or slowed its
international spread.
In dealing with the Ebola crisis, the
W.H.O. said on Friday, stricken
countries faced an array of challenges,
with “fragile” health services backed
by few resources, and inexperienced
personnel confronting
“misperceptions” of the disease among
highly mobile populations. “A high
number of infections have been
identified among health care workers,
highlighting inadequate infection
control practices in many facilities,”
the statement said.
But the body also said that the disease
could be contained. “This is not a
mysterious disease,” Dr. Fukuda said
in a telephone briefing with
journalists. “This is an infectious
disease that can be contained. It is not
a virus that is spread through the air.”
Ms. Chan said she hoped that Friday’s
declaration would “galvanize” leaders
of all countries to act. “It cannot be
done by the ministries of health
alone,” she said.
Also on Friday, news reports said a
suspected case of Ebola had been
detected in Uganda, the first such
report from East Africa. A traveler
from South Sudan was isolated with
Ebola-like symptoms of fever, and
physicians were awaiting the results of
tests, airport officials were quoted as
saying. Uganda’s last known outbreak
of Ebola was in 2012. Earlier
suspicions that Ebola had reached
Uganda in late July were dismissed as
a false alarm.
In Europe, a Spanish citizen, the only
known European to contract the
disease, has been flown home from
Liberia for medical attention. The
European Union said on Friday that
the risk to Europeans remained
“extremely low.”

Nigerian Commonwealth Games Gold Medallist, Chika Amalaha, Fails Doping Test

After winning the gold medal two days ago in the 53kg category of the women’s weightlifting event, Nigerian athlete Chika Amalaha has failed a doping test.

According to chief executive of the Commonwealth Games Federation, Mike Hooper, Amalaha tested positive to diuretics and masking agents, and she has been issued a formal notice of disclosure, “following an adverse analytical finding” as a consequence of the in-competition test.
“That athlete is Nigerian weightlifter Chika Amalaha, who was tested on July 25. That athlete has now been suspended from the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow," Hooper said.
“In general terms, these substances are on the prohibited list for two reasons — firstly in weight-category sports, they can be used to unfairly aid weight loss. and secondly, their use has been reported in attempts to mask the presence in the body of other prohibited substances.
“The relevant processes, as detailed in our anti-doping standard for the Games, are now being followed and Ms Amalaha has pursued her right to have her ‘B’ sample tested. This will take place at an accredited laboratory in London tomorrow, July 30. Upon receipt of those results, the process will continue."
If Amalaha tests positive again tomorrow, she will lose her gold medal, which she won by lifting 85kg in the Snatch and 111kg in the Clean and Jerk to set a new Commonwealth Games record total of 196kg.

Doctor Who Treated More Than 100 Ebola Patients In Sierra Leone Dies From The Virus

The late 39-year old doctor Khan had expressed fears for his life despite wearing protective gear when treating patients

Sheik Umar Khan, the Sierra Leonean doctor hailed as a “national hero” for treating more than one hundred Ebola patients, died today of the same disease.
According to Sierra Leone’s Chief Medical Officer Brima Kargbo, Sierra Leone has lost its only viral haemorrhagic specialist in the face of this epidemic. The doctor was diagnosed with the virus last week.
In a Reuters interview, the late 39-year old Khan had expressed fears for his life before being diagnosed. This was despite his wearing protective gear when treating patients. His fears corroborate a statement made in a CNN interview by Dr. Peter Piot, the first scientist to discover the virus in the 1970s. The doctor says, “this is an epidemic of dysfunctional health systems.” He then goes on to explain how basic sanitary measures can control the spread of the disease.
According to Dr. Piot, Ebola is not particularly easy to catch. In his interview, he says, one needs “really close contact” in order to get infected. “Just being on a bus with someone with Ebola, that’s not a problem,” he says. The WHO states that the virus spreads from direct contact, "(through broken skin or mucous membranes) with the blood, secretions, organs or other bodily fluids of infected people, and indirect contact with environments contaminated with such fluids."
The virus first appeared in Guinea in March and has since spread to Liberia and Sierra Leone. The WHO reports that as of July 23rd, there has been a total of 1,201 cases and 672 deaths between the three West African countries.
Other West African countries are now taking steps to prevent the spread of the disease to their countries. In light of recent events where a Liberian man boarded a flight to Nigeria and died of the Ebola virus in a Lagos hospital, two airlines, Arik Air and Asky, have suspended flights to Liberia and Sierra Leone. Nigerian authorities have also stepped up screening at its airports, and claim to be tracking those who came into contact with the Liberian passenger.
The fatality rate is currently 60% though the disease can kill up to 90% of those infected.

Kano n sanusi

Reports emanating from Kano, northern Nigeria
indicate that there was confusion in the ancient
city early this morning as rumors spread that
President Goodluck Jonathan has decided to
arrest newly installed Emir Of Kano, Sanusi
Lamido Sanusi.
Premium Times added that rumours have it that
the president has thus effectively nullified the
decision of Governor of Kano State, Rabiu
Kwankwaso, who picked Sanusi for the throne.
It was gathered that when rumour spread on
Tuesday night that Mr. Jonathan had finalized
plans to remove the new traditional ruler and
detain him, some Kano residents who are
displeased by the governor's decision went wild
with jubilation through the city.
While commenting on the current tension in Kano,
a source close to Kano State governor accused
the Presidency of plotting the rumour about Mr.
Sanusi's ostensibly removal.
"This whole rumor was calculated to cause a new
set of rioting in Kano," said the source.
He added that Mr. Jonathan and his cronies had
designed a plot to create destabilization in Kano
in order to give the president a pretext to declare
a state of emergency in Kano.
* Emir of Kano, Lamido Sanusi
As at the time of compiling this report, President
Jonathan has not congratulated Mr. Sanusi on
his appointment as the new emir.
Prior to Mr. Sanusi's elevation to emir, there had
been rumors that the kingmakers of Kano had
chosen one of the sons of the late Ado Bayero as
the new Emir. Some of the rumors were linked to
Presidency and the People's Democratic Party
(PDP).
It was alleged that the Presidency cloned a
twitter account in the name of the former CBN
governor and used it to create the impression
that Mr. Sanusi had acknowledged the
appointment of a new Emir.
It could be recalled that President Jonathan
suspended Mr. Sanusi from the CBN after the
nation's banker accused officials of the Nigerian
National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) of failing
to deposit oil revenues worth more than $20
billion in the Central Bank.
Since then, Sanusi is deemed as a political foe of
President Jonathan.

Half a million flee Iraq's Mosul

As many as 500,000 people have been forced to flee the Iraqi city of Mosul after Islamist militants effectively took control of it, the International Organization for Migration says.

Troops were among those fleeing as hundreds of jihadists from the ISIS group overran the city and much of the surrounding province of Nineveh.

ISIS has now reportedly taken Baiji, home to Iraq's largest oil refinery.

PM Nouri Maliki has asked parliament to declare a state of emergency.

The US said the development showed ISIS was a threat to the entire region.

ISIS - the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, which is also known as ISIL - is an offshoot of al-Qaeda.

It now controls considerable territory in eastern Syria and western and central Iraq, in a campaign to set up a militant enclave straddling the border.

'Chaotic situation'

Residents of Mosul - Iraq's second city - said jihadist flags were flying from buildings and that the militants had announced over loudspeakers they had "come to liberate" the city.

"The situation is chaotic inside the city, and there is nobody to help us," said government worker Umm Karam. "We are afraid."

ISIS in Iraq

• The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) has 3,000 to 5,000 fighters, and grew out of an al-Qaeda-linked organisation in Iraq

• ISIS has exploited the standoff between the Iraqi government and the minority Sunni Arab community, which complains that Shia PM Nouri Maliki is monopolising power

• It has already taken over Ramadi and Falluja, but taking over Mosul is a far greater feat than anything the movement has achieved so far, and will send shock waves throughout the region

Critical test ahead for Iraq

Many police stations were reported to have been set on fire and hundreds of detainees set free.

"The army forces threw away their weapons, changed their clothes, abandoned their vehicles and left the city," Mahmud Nuri, a resident fleeing Mosul, told the AFP news agency.

The BBC's Jim Muir says the Iraqi security forces appear to have nothing to fight back against the ISIS militants.

Some members of ISIS have also moved on to the nearby town of Baiji, setting the court building and police station on fire and releasing prisoners, according to Reuters news agency.

Baiji resident Jasim al-Qaisi told Reuters that the militants phoned tribal leaders in the town and told them: "We are coming to die or control Baiji, so we advise you to ask your sons in the police and army to lay down their weapons and withdraw."

At Baiji's refinery, which supplies oil products to most Iraqi provinces, many of the guards reportedly agreed to leave and go to another town.

US State department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said the situation in Iraq was "extremely serious" and that the US supported "a strong, co-ordinated response to push back against this aggression".

A spokesman for UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said he was "gravely concerned" at the situation.

But our correspondent says everything that has happened in Syria indicates that the West would not want to get involved in another Middle East quagmire.

Heading to Kurdistan

Sources have told BBC Arabic that the displaced Mosul residents are heading to three towns in the nearby region of Kurdistan where authorities have set up temporary camps for them.

Kurdistan Prime Minister Nechirvan Barzani issued a statement appealing to the UN refugee agency for help.

In a televised announcement, Mr Maliki said that security forces had been placed on a state of "maximum alert".

He also said he had asked parliament to declare a state of emergency - which would broaden arrest powers and allow curfews to be imposed - and a "general mobilisation" of civilians.

Athil al-Nujaifi, the governor of Nineveh province where Mosul is located, has accused Mr Maliki of ignoring his advice on the security situation, and instead relying on information from military in Baghdad.

Mr Nujaifi, a prominent critic of the prime minister, said he had begun steps to rebuild the security forces to retake the city from the militants.

ISIS has significantly increased its reach within the past year.

Parts of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar province, and much of the nearby city of Falluja have been under its control since late December.

ISIS has also been informally controlling much of Nineveh province for months, and in the past week has attacked other areas of western and northern Iraq, killing scores of people.

The Iraqi government is struggling with a surge in sectarian violence that killed almost 800 people, including 603 civilians, in May alone, according to the UN. Last year, more than 8,860 people died.

Are you in the area? Are you from Mosul? Have you been affected by the situation? You can email haveyoursay@bbc.co.uk using 'Mosul' in the subject.

What a world

A church in the US has taken to a very unique understanding of the biblical sentiment to come as you are

Pulpit: image by GETTY Images Inc
Some of the parishioners have chosen to attend some of the services completely naked. The logic behind the unconventional form of worship is that possessions are of this world, and not important when coming together for God.
In an interview with WWBT NBC 12 News the pastor, Allen Parker, says that he is "baring" his soul to Christ, the way that we all arrived on this earth, naked. "We're humans, we have scars, we have what we have…it's learning to love and accept that."
The congregation is just as enthusiastic as he is. NBC reports, "Every Sunday in the front few rows of White Tail Chapel, you'll find Katie and Robert Church. Katie wasn't a nudist when they first met, but quickly fell in love with both Robert and the resort."
The couple attest to finding a sense of community at the church.
The congregation says that it is a misconception that they go because they find the idea exciting, or enjoy the attention.
Being naked seems to make them feel closer to God, and able to let go of the notion that human beings should be better than others whether it is financially or physically.

Another 25 people - including one adult - were injured and seriously burned in the accident near the town of Fundacion, Cesar Uruena with the Colombian Red Cross told AFP.
"The injured have second and third-degree burns, and many are still in a critical condition" in hospitals in the area and in the city of Santa Marta, Urena said.
The children aboard the bus were between the ages of one and eight and were returning home after a religious service, Fundacion Mayor Luz Stella Duran told reporters.
Department of Magdalena police told AFP that the bus exploded around noon, and that the fire was so severe they had problems determining the number of casualties.
Stella Duran said that - according to survivors - the bus driver had been handling a container with gasoline aboard the vehicle. Police initially blamed the fire on a mechanical problem.
The driver has vanished, and angry locals went to his home and threw rocks at his windows, the mayor said.
Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos traveled to Fundacion after a final re-election campaign rally Sunday in Bogota ahead of the May 25 presidential vote.

SIX DIES IN AMBUSH

Six Ukrainian soldiers have been killed and eight wounded in an ambush in the eastern Donetsk region, officials say.

A unit was attacked near the town of Kramatorsk by about 30 heavily-armed rebels, the defence ministry said.

Correspondents say this is the most serious loss of life for the government in its operation against separatists.

Donetsk is one of two eastern regions that declared themselves separate from Ukraine after referendums deemed illegal by Kiev, the US and EU.

The defence ministry said an armoured personnel carrier carrying paratroopers was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade and exploded.

More soldiers were killed or injured in a firefight which ensued with the insurgents, who were said to be hiding in bushes.

On Monday, the pro-Russian separatists who declared independence in Donetsk said that all Ukrainian troops in the region would be viewed as occupying forces and should leave.

Also on Monday, their leader Denis Pushilin called on Russia to "absorb" Donetsk region.

Meanwhile in the neighbouring Luhansk region, separatists said an attempt was made on the life of a rebel leader.

Self-declared governor Valery Bolotov was shot and had lost a lot of blood, but his life was not in danger, the press office of the "Luhansk People's Republic" said.

'Crucial'

Earlier the Kiev-appointed governor of Donetsk region said Ukraine was planning a national referendum on devolving power to regions.

Speaking at a news conference in Donetsk, Mr Taruta called on parliament to pass legislation which would authorise a vote to help regions get more power while remaining within Ukraine.

Mr Taruta also described Sunday's separatist referendums in Donetsk and Luhansk as "an opinion poll".

He said the self-declared "People's Republic of Donetsk" did not exist legally or politically, and that the Donetsk region could not survive economically as an independent territory.

People in the east "should hear answers to the questions that they are concerned about", he said.

On a visit to Kiev, Germany's foreign minister urged talks between government and rebels.

Frank-Walter Steinmeier expressed support for a national round table which the government is planning to hold on Wednesday.

Ukrainian officials say the meeting will include politicians and civic leaders from the country's east, but armed separatists have already refused to negotiate.

Mr Steinmeier also backed Ukraine's 25 May presidential vote, which he said would be "crucial" in bringing the country out of its crisis.Ukrainian forces are holding positions outside the eastern

Korea divers finds 48 passengers body

Divers searching a sunken passenger ferry off South Korea found 48 bodies in a single room on the vessel meant to accommodate 38 people, officials say.

The group was crammed into a dormitory and all were wearing lifejackets, a South Korean Navy officer said.

Some 183 bodies have been recovered from the Sewol, but scores of people are missing, presumed drowned.

The head of the operation to retrieve bodies said on Friday he had "no idea" how long the ship search would take.

There were 476 people on board, with many trapped inside as the ferry listed and sank within two hours of distress signals being sent. A total of 174 passengers were rescued.

Many of those who died or are presumed dead were students and teachers from Danwon high school, south of Seoul.

Furious relatives attacked the speed of the recovery operation on Friday in a confrontation with the fisheries minister and the coastguard chief.

'It's very stressful'

In a briefing to reporters on the southern island of Jindo, Navy Captain Kim Jin-Hwang described the difficult conditions that the divers were facing.

He said one group had found the single dormitory room filled with the bodies of 48 students wearing lifejackets. The presence of so many victims in the cabin suggested many had run into the room when the ship tilted, correspondents said.

"It's very stressful," Kim said, adding that the divers were all too aware of criticism over the speed of the search.

Retrieving the bodies was far harder than finding them, he said, with divers unable to spend much longer than 10 minutes inside the ship at a time.

"Just imagine a room that is flipped," one of the divers told the Associated Press news agency. "Everything is floating around, and it's hard to know exactly where they are."

On a visit to Seoul on Friday, US President Barack Obama expressed his condolences for South Korea's "incredible loss" and offered America's solidarity.

"So many were young students with their entire lives ahead of them," Mr Obama said. "I can only imagine what the parents are going through at the moment - the incredible heartache."

Officials said rescuers are retrieving around 30 bodies a day but the bereaved families have demanded that all remaining bodies are removed from the ferry before the weekend.

Search officials said just 35 of the 111 rooms had been searched so far.

The government says it is "mobilising all available resources" towards the rescue effort but bad weather and stronger currents due on Saturday and Sunday are expected to hamper their efforts.

Prosecutors are said to be investigating whether modifications made to the ferry made it more unstable.

Factors under consideration include a turn made around the time the ship began to list, as well as wind, ocean currents and the freight it was carrying.

Reports have emerged indicating that the ship's sleeping cabins were refitted some time between 2012 and 2013, which experts say may have inadvertently affected the balance of the boat.

Investigators on Friday said that life rafts and escape chutes on a sister ship to a sunken ferry were not working properly.

The ferry's captain and 10 crew members have been arrested on charges ranging from criminal negligence to abandoning passengers.

Prosecutors have also raided several businesses affiliated with the ferry operator, the Chonghaejin Marine Company, as part of an overall probe into corrupt management.
